Spotting Light Pink With No Pain During Pregnancy Due To Fibroids. Will I Have Miscarriage?
I am 4 weeks pregnant. I started spotting link pink and brown last night. I went to the ER and they told me I have a 2.5 cm fibroid on the right side of my uterus where I am having the pain but this should cause no harm to the pregnancy. A pregnancy was located in the uterus but very small. I am still spotting light brown with very small pieces of tissue but no pain. Will I likely have a miscarriage?
Hi and thank you so much for trusting us with your health query.
I am so sorry to hear about this spotting on pregnancy. Every spotting and pain in early pregnancy raises the suspicion of a threatened abortion. There is no guarantee that you are going to loss your pregnancy but it certainly makes the risk of doing so higher. This fibroid is very small and unless the pregnancy is directly sitting on it, it should not be a problem and a possible cause of abortion.
Just sit back, rest and have a calm mind. If this pregnancy should not stay in place, then it would have been better off at this early stage than later.
I hope you find this helpful. I wish you well. Thank you so much for using our services and please do feel free to ask for clarifications or more information if need be. Dr. Ditah, MD.
