Spreading Itchy Skin With Red Spots On Chest, Legs And Arms. High Temperature, Nausea, Headache. History Of Having Shingles. Chicken Pox?

hi i have had itchy skin with red spots for 1 week they started on my chest then legs back arm. they flare up and down throghout the day they do not cover my body on my arm i have about 6. they are spreading. i also have spiking temperature nausea and headache and dizziness. i have had shingles twice but my symptoms seem to be like chicken pox. could this be the case? i am 51 female

Hello Mam,
Welcome and thanks for posting your query to HCM.
After reading oyur brief history about the illness the first thing I want to clear ris that this condition is is not at all chicken pox. This is medically justified by the fact that chicken pox can not happen after herpes zoster (Shingles). As you said you have had shingles two times so it is also to be corrected as zoster also can happen once in life. This is because we have life long immunity for both these condition. If we take the condition of chicken pox also then it is rare to find at this age. Now as your condition is accompanied by temperature, nausea, headache and dizziness so it is best to consult a physician immediately who can evaluate, diagnose and treat the condition at the best.
