Stage 4 Lung Cancer. Having Low Oxygen Level, High Heart Rate. Reason?
hi, my dad is in the hospital now.He has stage 4 lung cancer in and out of the hospital several times for pain crisis and pnemonia, just received a text that they are transfering him to another floor because his oxygen level is low and heart rate is high. This has been a recent on going issue, Can y tell me what is happening and why its keeps doing this?

sorry to know your father's condition. low oxygen level can be due to repiratory failure. high heart rate can be due to anaemia, infection, pain etc. anyway maintenance of oxygen saturation is mandatory. whether he is developing heart failure should also be noted. consult your internal medicine specialist.
