Stiffness And Pain In Knee Following An Impact. Prescribed Anti-inflammatory, Not Completely Cured. Recovery Time?

Hi, I had a hard impact on my knee about 6 weeks ago. 5 weeks ago I went to the doctor, since I still had a lot of trouble going down any stairs. I was told that there was no fracture, to take anti-inflammatories for a week, and to try to stay off of it for 2 weeks. Now, going down stairs is ok. But I still have pain/stiffness during deep flexion, and a hard bump has formed where i hit my knee. I have sharp pain if I try to kneel on it. should I go back to the doctor or will it resolve over time?

HI
Thank fro asking to HCM
I would better advise you to go for MRI study of your knee joint and do not take it as granted, knee joint is very fragile one and need extra attention, you have taken every thing whatever was necessary now it is time for investigation, have nice day.
