Stinging And Tingling During Urination. STD Chances? Had Unprotected Sex

I am 18 years old. Since I was a kid. my urethra would sting during and after I pee. I would also get random stings, tingles, itches, and throbs, but not very often. I was never a big water drinker when I was young and I also ate a lot of junk food. Another thing, my urethra is a little larger than normal so when I urinate, it comes out quite fast. I've never had sex until a few months ago, but I am worried that it could be an STD (didn't wear a condom, I was very stupid). I don't have money for a doctor visit or for medication, and my parents are out of reach. What are your thoughts?

Hi,
Welcome and thanks for posting your query to HCM.
As per your history, there appears to be the only chances of urinary tract infection or UTI. There are many a causes of UTI including sexually transmitted diseases also. As there is no history of any discharge from urethra and it is limited to stings, tingles, itches, and throbs. So the possibility of cause by sexually transmitted disease is negligible. Also you are drinking water very little so is the main cause of the same.
So drink a lot of liquids including water ( up to 3-4 liters a day). You can take tablet urispas for reliving the symptoms. If you are not relived by above measures then can take full course of antibiotics according to the sensitivity( urine examination) under medical guidance.
In future always maintain the practice of safe sex by condoms!!
