Stopped Smoking. Upper Respiratory Infection. Had Soreness And Tenderness In Breasts, Stiffness In Neck And Shoulder. What Now?
I had an upper respiratory infection for a few weeks, never saw a doctor about it, about 90% resolved now. Stopped smoking 5 days ago. I also need a root canal on the lower left side. For the last 2 or 3 days, I've had soreness/tenderness in my breasts, and inside arms and stiffness in my neck & shoulders. Is it related to the smoking cessation or should I see a doctor?
Hello, Respiratory tract infection or chest infection due to smoking can cause stiffness in neck and shoulders. Please do visit a physician regarding this. Take complete course of antibiotics prescribed. Meanwhile get the root canal treatment done. Thorough scaling of teeth has to be done. Use chlorhexidine mouthrinse to gargle. Maintain oral hygiene well. Hope this helps.
