Stuffed Nose. Diagnosed With Sinus Infection. On Penicillin. Swelling In The Nostril. Pain In The Ear. Any Suggestions?
i have had a stuffy nose since january and but it switches from nostril to nostril. I was diagnosed with a sinus infection and given penicillin for the treatment(5 days). The mucus became white again but the stuffy nose never left. I can see some swelling in my right nostril (it fluctuates) I have used the neti pot and nothings ever came out.....i doknow if its bad to ass a little tea tree oil into the solution but i have quite a bit. Now my ear is aching and when i cleaned it allot of white ooze came out. not much waz was visible.....???

Get an ENT consultation .
You need to have a CT scan of nose and paranasal sinuses limited view to rule out the nasal disease and the sinus infections.
this is because of the nasal discharge you are getting.
Secondly one side of nose open and other close and then other opens could be because of nasal cycle in nose every body has that.but if you are having feeling of blockage then get a scan done to know the disease.
