Sudden Chest Pain With A Feeling Of Blocking, Warmness Over Face, Breathing Difficulty. ECG Showed RBBB. Is It Fatal?
Hi, A few days ago I felt a sudden pain in my chest like there was a something that s blocking in it..it hurts like you re choking.I drink a glass of water, nothing happen then I suddenly felt like my face is getting hotter,i breath harder to ease the pain then it s gone..I went to get an ECG and the result said I have RBBB ..they recommend for me to see a cardiologist . Is RBBB worst or deadly? Will I die because of RBBB?
Hi! After carefully reviewing your problem, I want to be clear that RBBB as such is not a life threatening condition, unless associated with other ECG abnormalities or co-morbid heart or lung diseases. It is often an accidental detection & may be a congenital abnormality.
What is required is to obtain a repeat ECG & if the symptoms are persistent, it would be better to have consultation with an eminent cardiologist & further investigated. Till then you may remain under the cardiologist's observation.
Your symptoms might be due to some medications like vasodilators or ocp's or due to angina & are not likely to be related to the RBBB.
Take care of yourselves.
