Sudden Severe Pain Behind The Knee. Healthy With Right Weight. What Could Be The Cause?
Hi Doctor am quite worried about a sudden pain I have been getting behnd my left knee . This just started in the last few days. The pain comes on at random times. On a scale of 1 to 10, the pain is a 10. The pain only lasts for a few seconds but the pain is excrutiating. Please can you help me. Thank you. I am healthy and am about my right weight.
such transient pains shooting ones localised without any trauma or no history of suffering from diabetes are usually very self limiting .
if self limiting they should setlle down in a weeks time and will not increase in severity or duration .
if patterni is reducing and lower intensity and goes of in a weeks time no need of medical evaluation but if intensity duration of pain seems to be increasing need to meet a orthopaedic surgeon and if no local pathology then a neurologist.
