Suffer From Dry Mouth. Had Surgery In The Past. What Is Wrong?
Hello Doctor A dentist worked on my 4 upper front teeth and cut up my gums above in the name of some necessary procedures about 12 years ago. Since then I have been suffering from severe dry mouth. Additionally I seem to have post nasal drip - mucus leaks into mouth over upper front teeth, every time I -cry, sneeze, (abnormal amount of leakage), or am exposed to cold or ac. This never happened before the surgery. My mouth fills up with so much mucus, that I have to rinse several times and even then it is impossible to talk comfortably. Can you please help me? RB
Hello, Thanks for posting your query in hcm forum. From the details provided, its not clear that what kind of dental treatment have you undergone. Dry mouth can be treated by giving salivary substitutes . Keep yourself hydrated by drinking plenty of fluids and water. The mucous leakage may be due to sinus opening. Please do visit a dentist as well as ENT specialist for further check-up. Maintain oral hygiene well. Brush and floss four teeth daily. Hope this helps.
