Suffer From Epileptic Problem. On Epilex Chorono. Now Have Skin Rash. Feel Fatty, More Drowsy. Side Effect?
hello sir . my name is pari. Im suffering from epileptic problem since 2 months. And taking Epilex Chorono 300( 1 in mrng and 1 in eve). But frm 5-6 days im suffering from skin rashesh . and also feeling some fatty, i got irritated, feels more sleepy . Is this any side effect of this Epilex Chorono 300. or its in by other cause.
Thanks for your query. I fully appreciate your concerns.
Appearance of rashes and, drowsiness are indeed side effects of Epilex.
If I had been your treating doctor, I would have immediately got your Blood counts, (particularly Platelet counts), liver function tests done. In the event of abnormal blood counts, I would have changed the drug.
Please remember that all anti-epileptic drugs cause drowsiness, and occasionally, mood changes.
Consult your treating doctor who will most likely change the drug.
Regards and have a nice day.
