Suffering From Chronic Headache
My daughter 23 years old 117 lbs is has had chronic daily headaches for years we have tried many drs and headache treatments but no good results she now has a heart rate of 90 or more at rest but can increase to 190 for hours and causes severe pain in her chest. She has been having nose bleeds daily over the the last week . We are definitely at our wits end and don't know what to do anymore any suggestions ?

What are her blood pressure values?
Her symptoms could be related to a metabolic disorder (adrenal dysfunction, thyroid dysfunction, etc.).
I recommend consulting with her doctor for a careful physical exam and some tests:
- chest X ray study
- ambulatory 24-48 hours ECG monitoring to examine her heart rhythm during this period
- blood work (complete blood count, PCR, sedimentation rate, cortisol plasma levels, fasting glucose, thyroid hormone levels).
- urinary levels of metanephrines to investigate for possible pheochromocytoma
- a brain MRI should be performed to exclude other possible causes of headache (like pituitary gland dysfunction, or a tumor)
You should discuss with her doctor on the above issues.
