Suffering From Chronic Sinusitis. What Causes Heart Races Like Panic Attack, Sweating, Trouble In Sleeping?
21 years old and no health issues except for chronic sinusitis. Lately been losing weight (30lbs in the last year) and haven't been trying. Also, heart races when I get up from sitting position or sometimes out of the blue. It feels almost like a panic attack but there is no cause--no anxiety. Can happen just when I'm watching TV. Also, sweating at times and having trouble sleeping. Doctor just dismisses me.
It seems like you are experiencing tachycardia. The most common causes of tachycardia are: - Cardiac disease. - Hormonal disbalnce (hyperthyrosis, cushing disease ect) - Smoking - Alchohol and drugs (coffee, cocaine ect) - Psychogenic.
So i suggest to stop drinking alchohol, coffe or any other of mentioned substance. You should consult a cardiologist and endocrinologist to rule out cardiac and hormonal problems.
If every thing is ok than tachycardia is related to psychogenic factors.
Hope i answered to your query. dr. benard
