Suffering From Cold. Prescribed Xylometazoline Nasal Drops. Pain In Neck, Coughing Painful. Side Effects?
I ve got a cold at the moment at home since Sunday , went to the doctor on Wednesday She just gave me nasal drops xylometazoline get rest drink lots of fluids however throughout my illness I can feel my head especially neck today when I bend over I can feel a pain moreover when I coughing Is painful as well should I go again to see a doctor or this is kind of side effect of having cold .
What you ate having is a severe rhinosinusitis and hence the pain in the head and neck. There is a lot of congestion also in the sinuses as you describe causing the pain during coughing. I believe you should start an antibiotic prophylaxis with azithromycin for 3 days and also start steam inhalation at home 3 times daily. Continue the xylometazoline however you should take a antihistaminic also and a pain killer
