Suffering From Ear Pain, Ringing In The Ear, Hearing Loss And Locked Jaw. Stroke Suspected. Any Thoughts?
my brother suffered from ear ache with ringing of the ear and deceased hearing two days back, went to a GP medication was given , with no specific finding on examination, now he has locked jaw & doctors R suspecting a stroke .there is no other symptom like numbness or weakness in any part of the body , so what is Ur opinion about this
Your medical history regarding acute pain in ear with hearing loss and tinnitus favours the acute otitis media but your complaint of lock jaw can't be explained from this site of infection. Therefore most likely you are having acute inflammation of jaw joint, as acute swelling of jaw joint may give rise to reffered pain to ear, by swelling of joint there may be difficulty in opening the mouth (lock jaw), blocked ear and tinnitus all are possible.
My opinion is that you should consult your ENT doctor for thorough examination, necessary investigatins and finally treatment.
Regards.
