Suffering From Elephantiasis, Regular Pain In Legs And Elbows. Knee Replacement Or Amputation?
My relative is suffering from elephantisis for the last 4 years these days he complains of pain in his legs and elbows and gets massaged everyday, can he go for knee replacement or amputation ?
Hi welcome to H.C.M.Forum, if the size of the leg is very large or occurence of filarial fever is very frequent then he can go for surgical interference. he can have whole skin graft of the leg. amputation is the last to think of. conservatively he can have d.e.c tablets and penecilline injections periodically.under the supervision of a doctor. thank you.
