Suffering From Filariasis. Is This Curable ?
Ujjwal Chalise Age: 26 Years Height: 5ft 7 Inch Weight: 84 kg I have a big leg and consulted different types of hospital but did not satisfied me. I don t take care of others but doctor said it will not be cured. I am single right now and going to get married. Does it hamper my future life?

Welcome to HCM.
If the swelling in the leg is due to filariasis, it cannot be reduced by medicine, but surgical treatment is available in specialised centres.
You will however have to take tablets for it when you get fever with shivering.
It should not hamper your married life, but take special care that all the family members living with you are treated properly for prevention of Filariasis. This disease spreads through mosquito bite.
Govt. Health centres are now freely distributing medicines for it.

You have option of consulting for ayurvedic treatment.Raktamokshan,which is blood letting by Leeches and other medications can cure your problem.you will not have to worry for ur future.

One option for you is to start taking homeopathic medicine for it. This would certainly help you. Contact any good local homeopathic doctor. You can spread your infection to other mainly your family member so always use mosquito nets and other measures to prevent mosquito bite.
