Hi, I am 35 male suffering from hyperpigmentation since 1.5 years with itching on my face, which stops if i use any derma cream but brown spots have appeared on my cheeks and forehead. My skin was very smooth and fair but it has now turned very rough and complexion has become dark. what could be the cause and what are the best solutions. I have undergone chemical peel thrice, which temporarily reduced the spots but they have developed again.

Hi ,
Thanks for writing in.
The condition you are having is melasma. It can be treated effectively but some times it can recur. Some form of maintenance treatment is needed for it.
Use a good quality sunscreen routinely during day time.
Visit a qualified dermatologist and discuss the option of CO2 laser for melasma.
Hope this helps.
I will be available for follow up.
