Suffering From Hypothyroidism And Cervical Vertebrae Pain
Hello doctor , I have always a pain behind my neck (starting vertebral column). I feel like pinching at a certain point and whenever i am stressed physically or mentally i feel it unbearable. I have hypothyroidism . I am on medication since last 4 years. After my pregnancy (3 years ago) this problem has raised a lot. which doctor shall i go endocrinologist or orthopedics, i am suffering a lot.
You must be having cervical spondylitis. This can be treated efficiently with pain killers , physiotherapy. For hypothyroidsm you should visit your Endocrinologist and then visit an Orthopedician for neck pain evaluation.
I investigated a lot regarding the inter-relation between thyroid deficiency and cervical vertebrae problem. even scientific articles which proves that there could be a problem. the pain starts like pinching on a certain point and that spreads to my right arm. It talks about nerve misalignment which could be due to hypothyroidism. So I have doubts regarding this. My friend has the same problem in the beginning and later in course of 2 years it has spread to all her left arm and now she has numbness in her hand. very soon she is going to have a surgery for it. I am really scared and want to know more about it.
