Suffering From Insomnia And Seizures. Taken Ambien Tablet For Insomnia After Years. Suggestions?

An electrical shock caaused me to fall on my head and back. A coma for over a month, 1987. A head injury clinic treated me and I was perscribed Ambien for my insomnia. It also appeared to have been effective in controling siezures? I still have insomnia and siezures that send me to the hospital after 25 years! I've not had Ambien available for several years.

Hi there, thanks for asking. Ambien can treat the sleep problem, but it cannot treat the seizure. However, it can improve the sleep quality and sleep deprivation can cause seizure to happen in a person who has it. You can also treat your insomnia with another pill or CBT if you ask about it from your doctor. Best wishes.
