Suffering From Knee Joints Pain. My Crpandesr Levels Are Raised But Rhematoid Arthritis Is Negative

crpandesr levels are raised but blood test results came back as negative for rhematoid arthritis im an a 62 year old man i suffer with bad ibs. suddenly my knee joints were painful and fluid accumalated above my knees, ihad a blood test and the results came back as rhematoid arthritis negative, but my 2pointers were esr and crp any clues to what i might have?

Hello,
C-reactive protein is produced as part of the inflammatory process and attaches to the invading microorganism or damaged cells. A high level of C-reactive protein indicates that there is inflammation.
A high ESR also indicate inflammation so kidnly request to consult physician .

These two tests (ESR and CRP) are not specific for any particular disease and may be raised in no of conditions. These usually indicate an inflammatory process and the underlying cause should be searched for.
