Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history of lax hiatus giving reflux, reflux gastritis and
antral gastritis. Wants to know whether it is OK to work in bulk pharmaceutical industry in QA department, whether any chance of increase in your problem further more..
This is a typical query.
Well, you have lax hiatus which gives
reflux esophagitis as the hiatus part is the one which allows connection of
esophagus to the stomach. Hence if it is lax, it may allows sliding
hiatus hernia, allow the contents of the stomach to come up in esophagus and cause esophagitis.
Antral gastritis indicates that there may be reflux of the bile and duodenal contents into the stomach causing inflammation if the
gastric mucosa with its effects and symptoms.
There is a rare chance that the smell of the medicines can enhance the gastritis in some people.
Hence you have to visit the area, may be work for some days and see if the atmosphere suits you or not.
Other wise I do not foresee any problem. Get the investigations done for the existing problems and if you are fit, just continue the life as before.
Do not allow weight gain. Control over foods and beverages, avoid aerated drinks.
Take the treatment for gastritis in the form of a PPI like
Omeprazole, antacids three hourly, activated
charcoal tablets symptomatic and supportive treatment.
