Suffering From Severe Acidity And Dizziness. Complains Nausea, Diziness And Stomach Pain. Has Cervical Sponylosis. Suggest
My wife is suffering from severe acidity and dizziness. She complains of Nausea, diziness and stomach pain. Sometimes she complains of severe palpitation and heaviness in head. She is afraid to eat fearing acidity and gas. Got endoscopy done..which was fine. She has cervical Sponylosis. Can it be related or not? Consulted all the specialist....One physician diagnosed it as panic attack...Can it be it? Has got heart check up done as well..All fine except she had tachycardia. She is or propanolol. Please suggest..
Tachycardia (increased heart rate) can be related to different potential causes. In the normal heart beat , a signal is sent from a specific point of the heart. This signal travels along a specific pathway to stimulate the rest of the heart to contract.
Tachycardia and other abnormal beats can occur if there is any disruption in this process.
In addition to the ECG which revealed the tachycardia , she should have blood tests to check for anemia and thyroid disease .
Hi ! For such of my patients, I would have advised some dietary modifications like high roughage and more of liquids, and some life style modifications, like elevating the head end of the bed with the help of blocks. This will give some symptomatic relief to her. Apart from it I would also advise some proton pump inhibitor, a prokinetic drug and a probiotic for your wife. Also a bit of exercise like morning walk will help her both in the acidity and gases and also in helping her in her panic attacks if it is there. Seeing her pulse rate, the chances of panic attacks are more. In the mean time, you please continue your propanolol , and other drugs advised by me now. I hope this should give you some improvement. Thanks for using healthcare magic as your portal for health related query.
