Suffering From Severe Insomnia. Could It Be Due To Taking Medicines For Sudden Hairloss?

While I have suffered from mild insomnia for several years, it recently became severe, allowing me no more than three hours of sleep per night for this past week. I have just begun treatment for sudden hair loss with 5000 mcg of Biotin in addition to, Rogaine and Viviscal. I also have been taking Cozaar 50 mg per day for about two years and noticed a change in my ability to sleep since taking it as well. Could there be a connection with any of these drugs?

Thank you

Hi there, thanks for asking. Cosaar (losartan) can cause sleep problems. On the other hand, if your blood pressure is not fully controlled, can cause sleep problems as well. A good way to avoid the side effects is to shift the time of taking losartan to the morning. This is the easiest way to see if it is managed. I wish you a good sleep.
