Suffering With Adult-onset Still's Disease, High ESR Levels, No Infection. Reason?
Hi!! I m zobayda from Bangladesh. Age 20y. From 2010 i am suffering from adult onset still s disease. But now i have no physical problem. I have no fever no vomiting no joint pain. Still my ESR is high. My recent report of ESR is 115. But i have no infection. My Bangladeshi doctor gave me PREDNISOLONE 10MG. But everybody know that it is not good for health. And it also increase my weight badly. i don t want to take this medicine. My question is why my ESR is high???
Well looking into your problem I see that that you are having AOSD .ESR is an inflammatory marker and is raised when any kind of inflammation is present in body . Thats why it is raised . Prednisolone is the medicine for treatment of this disease .Your doctor has rightly prescribed your medicines.
Wish you good health.
Take care.
Dr. Shruti
