Loss of balance and numbness of hand may be indicative of compressive pathology in the cervical spine. Considering your age the compression is unlikely to be from spondylosis. Compressive myelopathy (affection of spinal cord) from degenerative condition (spondylosis) is typically seen in middle aged and elderly individuals. You need to get MRI of the cervical spine done as early as possible.
Please let me know if I can be of further help.
