Suffering With Gout, Have Swollen Knees. Taking Plenty Of Water, Zyloric. Is Zyloric Safe For A Long Term?
im 28, at present my knee is swollen with gout , im drinking lots of water, iv taken 1 zyloric, im eating fruit etc.. i get attacks every 2 months, im fit and healthy so i think the reason i have it is because my grandad had it.. should i continue to take zyloric every day to maintain uric acid levels or will it damage organs, kidneys? what is the quickest way to reduce swelling?? is arcoxia better to take while inflammed or zyloric?? cheers doctor
If joint is inflamed then arcoxia is better. It will decrease swelling quickly. Zyloric is safe if taken for long time. Patients who are having problem with zyloric are given fabuxostat . You can consult to your doctor for both drugs. There is also role of food modification like avoiding of pulses, vegetables with seeds and red meat.
