Suffering With Pain, Numbness, Giddiness. On Pregabid ME. Why Is It Not Helpful?

Hi, My Wife is Suffering with pain, Numbness on the right side of the body (ie,. Right hand , head, showlder, neck , back and Leg) and slight giddiness. Neurologist has Prescribed her Pregabid ME 75 and encorate chrono 200 twice a day. which is continued since 3 months but still no improvement observed, Kindly Suggest. Her Head scan reports is normal, where as EEG report is found to be infected as said by the doctor. Regards, Satish.

Hi Sat.div,

The medication you are prescibed are mainly for the condition of neuropathic pain. The symptoms which you describes as pain should ideally improved from these medication and normally it take time to improve the condition.
Regarding the other symptom of numbness and giddiness, these medication are not going to help much. It is the normal process of healing of the nerves after which only these problem will subsides.

It is also important to make the diagonosis that these symptoms are becasue of neuropathic pain only and not because of some nerve compression some where in the neck.
