Suggest A Better Alternative For Metoprolol Succ Er?

hello I take metoprolol succ er and was wondering if there is something that can replace it without the side effects ,,,occasional headaches ,joint pain ,sexual ineffectiveness weight gain can you help to ask my dr the right ques tions i am also fatigued easily I am 63 have two stents I am also epileptic on phenobarbital,,,,Viagra or Cialis don t help with the sexual part except once in a while a bad headache I don t use it because of the ineffectiveness.

First of all want to explain you that METOPROLOL is a beta blockers and your doctor will be a better person to use it or not .
Headache, weight gain, sex decrease, joint pain are some common side effects of beta blockers.
If your doctor want of replace or change this drug , only he can do .
As far as concerned about anti epileptic drug , you can use it ( phenobarbital ). Decrease in sex is common side effect of beta blockers .
Sex enhancer also develops headache as I have noted in my so many patient at this age group ( after 55 years ).
I will recommend you visit your cardiologist and get his opinion.
