Suggest A Remedy For Facial Skin Discoloration In Children Using CPAP Mask?

My 7 year old has sleep apnea and uses a cpap machine. She has been using it for about 2 months and now she has skin discoloration around face where the mask fits. The entire area is becoming lighter. What is it coming from? And what can I do to correct it. I spoke with her pulmonary specialist, her pediatrician and the respiratory specialist and no one can help me

Hello,

There is such a thing as a SKIN PROTECTOR that can be placed over the facial area in contact with the CPAP mask.

Did your doctors have you try this product? The mask may also need to be checked for possible OVERTIGHTENING.

You can check with the company who supplied the mask to come out and show up to WHAT TIGHTNESS the mask should be placed while asleep.

There is also a product called REMZZZ's that can be used for issues of skin irritation or air leakage if that ever becomes a problem. They also have lines of mask/face liners that may help.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
