Suggest A Treatment For The Blockage In Neck Arteries

I have been in out of the hospital since march 22nd started out with pneumonia. I had numbness in my the tips of my right fingers. they did a dopler of my neck arterties and said they are 45% blocked. Am I a candiadate to have the arterties cleaned. My dad died from a stroke. I am 57 and have been so tired want to sleep all the time and have no energy and I am short of breath in everything I do.

Hi, 45% stenosis of the Carotid arteries is not an indication of Surgery or stenting. If you have had symptoms of Carotid stenosis in the form of TIA(Weakness of any of the limbs lasting less than 24 hours) or sudden vision loss then you can have the intervention for the Carotid once it is at least 50% stenosed. If you do not have any such symptoms then the only indication of cleansing is atleast 70% blockage as the cleansing operation( Carotid endarterectomy) is a preventive surgery to prevent any strokes in future.
