Suggest Alternate Remedy For Positional Talapis

My. Son has positional talapes in right. Foot, he had a tendonotomy think it s called,,he is now 4 and the operation. Has left him with a slight limp as his tendon Is still tight, he has the boots and bar set to 7O. Degrees this is not effective is there any other brace or shoe out there that can treat his foot during the day so he uses all of his foot rather than him using the edge of his foot to force him to walk correctly

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hello,

If the tendon remains tight, it may indicate that repeat surgery is necessary. Some children with clubfoot require another operation.

The boots and bar that you mention are used to prevent repeat casting and surgery.

I suggest that a pediatric orthopedic surgeon see your son and give you a second opinion.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Arnold Zedd,
