I have a swelling around my eyes, that has been treated with an oral anti biotic and went away and came back, I have some roseacea but mild, and the inner top of my cheek bones below both eyes are very dry and red.. what to do and or what type of Dr. do I go to first? I talked to a dermatolgist that gave me a cream called Cloderm, didn t work it looks wrinkled and dry
As per my clinical experience, depending upon the stage of Rosacea, there are various options available for curing it. @ Mild to moderate cases, do respond best to - Oral antibiotics such as Doxycycline or Minocycline - Topical agents such as Oxymetazoline hydrochloride or Azelaic acid @ Severe or non-respondent cases do require advanced laser therapy as well
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
