I have been prescribed Opana ER 20mg and have taking them for 2 months now. I now have been getting crippling sick headaches which I only get after taking the Opana. I have to see my Pain Specialist and bring him up to date on my pin and meds. I have to be on a medication similar to Opana as far long lasting. I also a pain med for break through pain. What is a med that I can talk to him about replacing the Opana? I really do not like the Opana but have tried to give time to work to the fullest but can not take the headaches that are now following and also have come to know that the Opana does not really help with the pain. I can barely tell that I have taken it except for the headaches that come afterwards. Other than Oxycodone what would be the next medication that we can discuss?
