Suggest Alternatives Of Topamax And Carbatrol
I have a cousin who has been perscribed both Topamax and Carbatrol for over 11 years. She claims that she has never been diagnosised with epilepsy. One of the side affects that she claims to have is the inability to articulate a thought. She is not stupid she is slow (my word). Is there another combination of drugs that she can be perscribed without the side effects. She is considering changing doctors (neurologist).

Most of the neuro drugs has got side effects on the long run. I couldn’t understand why Topamax and Carbitrol are prescribed. Only after knowing the indication I can tell you better alternatives. Consult a neurologist and get evaluated. If not indicated no need to continue these drugs.
