Hi! I just got the result of my glucose blood test it is 241. I know that this is more than double the normal which is 120. But I do not want to take metformin because of my experience of having numbness of my left hand. Am I a full blown diabetic? My creative is normal and ultrasound of my kidneys are normal but my urinalysis result has +4 albumin. Can you recommend other medication from metformin. My blood glucose has been elevated since 5 years ago but it is only now that it got 241. Please help me.
you should maintain your weight, control diet, exercise daily, and go for Lab HbA1c, from HbA1c (glycosylated hemoglobin) last 4 months blood sugar is recorded. instead of metformin you may tak Sitagliptin100 mg once daily.
