Suggest An Alternative Medication For Benazepril

What is a good substitute for benazepril that is an ACE inhibitor? I ve took Lisinopril for many years, but developed an allergy - swollen face and lips - and was switched to benazepril about a year ago, but now I am getting swollen lips and face. What do you think?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
It sounds like you have developed angioedema. If that is the case then you need to be on a different class of drugs. If you get angioedema from one ACE inhibitor then you will probably develop it from others. Talk to your doctor about a different class of medicines.
Regards
