Suggest An Alternative Of Hydrocodone-Acetaminophen
My wife fell and broke a bone in her wrist and two bones her in hand. The orthopedic surgeon gave her Hydrocodon-Acetaminophen 5-325 and it makes her nauseous. She also cant take Tramadol or Codeine. Is there another pain medication she can take for pain?
Nausea is a possible side effect of all opiates. Some people may also experience constipation. She can consider trying the anti-inflammatory pain killers, if she can use these examples are Naproxen and Ibuprofen. These can also be combined with Paracetamol.
If there is no improvement, there are stronger anti-inflammatory medications but these would need to be prescribed.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Michelle Gibson James
