Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a scalp acne since 3 years. i have consulted many doctors but what happens is they gave me medicine and after applying it,it will gone but as soon as i stop to take medicine they come back. The doctor has given me this medicine , 1) Kenzsal solution, 2) Isotroian -20 3) Clindac Solution, 4) Zydip Solution Thank You..
Acne over the scalp can occur due to causes like clogged hair follicles, bacterial infection causing Impetigo, allergic reaction, improper hygiene etc. I would suggest you to consult a Trichologist or Dermatologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like microscopic examination of the scrapings from the scalp and blood tests can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly.
You can be advised antibiotics, anti inflammatory medicines, anti allergic medicines and topical application of antibiotic and steroid ointment. Avoid scratching the bumps to avoid infection. Wash the scalp every alternate day with a mild shampoo. Avoid moisture accumulation in the scalp.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Honey Arora, Dentist
