General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
Aspirin is also a good blood thinner and is widely used. It avoids clot formations, thus preventing heart attack. Still, I would insist to favor your doctor's choice of blood thinner as he knows all details of your health.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
