Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Fell and hit my cheekbone just below my eye about a month ago. It still hurts when I blink on that side. There is no pain when I sleep, only when I squint/close my eye tightly. it hurts from the end of my eye to the hairline.
If it is a fracture, is it worth going to the doctor?
I understand your concern since this problem is affecting your eyes and daily life. Since you fell and hit your cheekbone it could be that you damaged one of your nerves. I suppose there is no dangerous damage, but still, try to visit your GP or an ear, nose & throat doctor to make better examination to get proper therapy. They will check your facial inervation and bones first by phisical examination and then they will send you if there is a need for to other examinations.
I hope this answer was helpful to you.
