Hi,

Meth is a stimulant like other amphetamines. All stimulants can cause seizures when taken in high dosages or taken by people with a susceptibility for seizures. Even a single dose of minute quantity may be responsible if your friend had a low seizure threshold. Some medicines can lower the seizure threshold. Infections and space occupying lesions in the brain can also be responsible. I am sure his doctors will make a thorough assessment of all possibilities.

Best wishes.
