Seven days ago, I elected to have smart-lipo on my upper, lower abs and flanks. Immediately following the surgery I could see great improvement in my abdomen area. But now my abs and love handles are swollen to a much larger size than before the operation. My stomach is hard and hot to the touch. There is still some numbness in certain areas as well as regular pain. Is this normal? I am concerned that something is wrong. My doctor has said it is just post op swelling and fluid filling the area. I am not so sure now. What should I do? The compression garment doesn't seem to help much.
