Suggest Chances Of Survival With A Aorta Stem Replacement Therapy
I am a 62 year old male in general good health except cardiac. I had CABG x3 in 1994.
Now my aorta has stretched and weakened for several inches above the AV. The valve is significantly blocked. I am going to have 3 by-passes, AVR and aorta stem replacement with a tube. What are the life to death percentage of surviving the procedure. They tell me it might be 6 to 8 hours on the bypass machine.
HI,welcome to HCM, THE CHANCES OF SURVIVAL WITH AORTA STEM REPLACEMENT RANGE FROM 20-45% with the predicted 5 year mortality rates.prior history of 3 times CABG can also adversely affect this outcome.in the absence of other co morbid medical conditions like diabetes and hypertension, the outcome will generally be good.consult your doctor for further queries. thank you
