Hello,
As per my clinical experience, the
typhoid fever, suggested by
Widal test titres do indicate intestine (usually small) inflammation and secondary features of fever, low appetite, abdomen pain, nausea with or without vomiting,
diarrhea. So far as clinical significance is concerned, it does suggest moderate level of typhoid fever and usually settles down within a period of 2 weeks if proper therapy and medications are being practiced.
My guidelines at present:
- Consume more liquids in terms of boiled water, lemon juice, oral rehydration salt, coconut water, rice water, dal water
- Diet with rice, hochpoch, curd, butter milk, organic fresh fruits
- Avoid all spices, non veg, junk food, dairy fat
- Prescription of GI specific antibiotic as
cefixime,
metronidazole or others
- Pre and pro biotics including lacto bacillus to support GI flora
- Regular temperature record
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
