Im on doxitab antibiotic from yesterday for a few days. I also want to diet for the next few days and dont want to eat lots. When taking doxitab I need to take it after my evening meal - must eat with this and also no dairy products with this. Pse advise

Doxytab is a doxycyclin and is an antibiotic and there are no specific dietary precautions for that. You can take and eat any thing you want. Providing the limitation of associated morbidities if any. Rest assured, if its proteinaceous or carbs rich diet or what ever you crave for, doxy is cool with it.Drink a full glass of water with each dose of the capsule or tablet. If your stomach becomes upset when you take doxycycline, you may take it with food or milk. However, taking doxycycline with milk or food may decrease the amount of medication absorbed from your stomach.
