Ibandronic acid should be taken early in the morning on an empty stomach with a full glass of water after an overnight fast (at least 6 hours) and 1 hour before the first food or drink (other than water) of the day or any other oral medicines or supplementation (including calcium).
It should be swallowed not crushed or chewed and has to be taken once a month. Since calcium and other supplements can interfere with the absorption of ibandronic acid, and they should not be taken for at least one hour after taking ibandronic acid.

Suggest Dosage And Timings Of Ibandronic Acid?
Hi, Ibandronic acid should be taken early in the morning on an empty stomach with a full glass of water after an overnight fast (at least 6 hours) and 1 hour before the first food or drink (other than water) of the day or any other oral medicines or supplementation (including calcium). It should be swallowed not crushed or chewed and has to be taken once a month. Since calcium and other supplements can interfere with the absorption of ibandronic acid, and they should not be taken for at least one hour after taking ibandronic acid. Take your calcium supplements in the morning with meals, rather than alone. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
