Suggest Dosage Duration For Cholesterol

hELLO DOCTOR,I am a 59 years male. I WAS PRESCRIBED TONACT TG SINCE I HAD HIGH CHOLESTOROL. I consumed this tabs one daily for about 7 to months.I am a stroe patient and being treated for the same. doctors advice to controlmy high blood pressure n cholestrol,etc. and have prescribed accordingly. pl advice if this drug to be continued if my cholestrl level has dropped.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...
Tonact-tg contains atorvastatin & fenofibrate, it is given to patients with stroke to reduce the cholesterol in blood & reduce risk of blockage in artery. High cholesterol & high blood pressure are both risk factor for stroke & heart problems.
As you are given tonact-tg for a long span of time of 7-10 month. you would have high cholesterol. You should decrease the amount of fats in diet. Take fibers in abundance in diet & do regular exercise. After this your blood cholesterol will reduce .
If your blood cholesterol becomes normal then you could alter dose of tonact -tg by consulting your doctor
