Suggest Dosage Of Vicodin To Relieve Pain In Elbow Post Agitation After Surgery
I have a question about pain medication. I have been taking Vicodin 5/500 for over a year for pain in my left elbow as a result of a pinched nerve. I have gained a tolerance and have been taking 3 of the Vicodin at one, 2-3 times a day. I had surgery on this elbow last week and was prescribed Vicodin 10/325. I have been taking 2 of these for pain, but I agitated the elbow this week and the 2 10/325 isn t helping anymore. I have a couple of questions about managing this pain. 1) Can I take 1 5/500 vicodin with 2 10/325 to increase the dosage slightly? 2) Since I was told not to mix these, can I take 3 10/325 vicodin? Thank you for your help!
You can better take 3 vicodin 10/325. You may also use ice compresses to lower the swelling and relieved the pain. Reduce movements to help reduce the pain.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
