General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi!
Welcome to HCM!
Since he had a heart attack a couple of weeks ago, he must have some dietary restriction to prevent the complications.
He must avoid taking alcohol, red meat, oily foods, fast foods which contain a lot of salt and fat, potato chips, pickles etc.
He can eat white meat like baked chicken, fish, eggs (without yolk if possible),
Fresh fruits and leafy vegetables to get the anti oxidants and to prevent the constipation which can be dangerous in the sense straining at the stool may aggrevate some of his symptoms.
Last but not the least, he must strictly adhere to the medicines prescribed by the doctor.
